• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development, semantic modeling, report optimization, and performance tuning

• Strong command of DAX, Power Query (M), data transformation, and data modeling

• Strong understanding of Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, relationships, calculated columns, measures, and dimensional modeling

• Practical understanding of SAP ERP data structures and business processes

• Knowledge of SAP modules such as SAP FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR/HCM, or relevant business functions

• Ability to understand SAP master data, transactional data, organizational structures, and business process flows

• Experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards using SAP as a source system

• Knowledge of SAP BW/BW4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BusinessObjects, or SAP Analytics Cloud is an advantage

• Strong understanding of KPI framework design, KPI DNA mapping, business metrics, and enterprise reporting standards

• Strong understanding of data visualization principles, data storytelling, and executive reporting

• Experience with data quality, data governance, documentation, data dictionaries, and reporting standards

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Frista Group is expanding its global Business Intelligence and SAP Analytics delivery capability to support a leading European manufacturing organization.

We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented Senior Power BI & SAP BI Developer / Analytics Consultant who can bridge the gap between SAP ERP data, business processes, enterprise reporting, and modern Microsoft Power BI analytics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming complex SAP and non-SAP data into meaningful business insights, developing executive-level dashboards, establishing standardized KPI frameworks, and supporting strategic decision-making across different business functions.

The ideal candidate should combine strong technical expertise in Power BI, DAX, data modeling, SAP data, and enterprise reporting with strong business understanding and communication skills.

The candidate will work closely with international stakeholders, business users, SAP/ERP teams, data engineers, and other BI professionals to deliver scalable, reliable, and decision-focused analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI & Business Intelligence

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade dashboards and interactive reports using Microsoft Power BI

• Develop executive-level dashboards focused on business performance, KPIs, trends, exceptions, and actionable insights

• Build scalable and reusable Power BI semantic models and reporting datasets

• Develop advanced DAX measures, calculations, business logic, and time-intelligence solutions

• Optimize Power BI reports, data models, DAX queries, and report performance

• Implement appropriate data visualization and storytelling techniques

• Establish standardized Power BI reporting structures across business functions

• Ensure dashboards are intuitive, professional, responsive, and decision-focused

• Implement appropriate security concepts including Row-Level Security (RLS)

SAP & ERP Analytics

• Work with SAP ERP data to develop business intelligence and reporting solutions

• Understand and analyze SAP business processes and underlying data structures

• Develop Power BI reports using SAP data from relevant source systems

• Work with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW/BW4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP BusinessObjects, or SAP Analytics Cloud where applicable

• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to understand business processes, tables, master data, transactional data, and reporting requirements

• Analyze data from relevant SAP modules such as:

  • SAP FI/CO – Finance & Controlling

  • SAP MM – Materials Management

  • SAP SD – Sales & Distribution

  • SAP PP – Production Planning

  • SAP HCM/HR – Human Resources

  • Other relevant SAP modules based on business requirements

• Translate SAP business processes and ERP data into meaningful Power BI KPIs and analytical models

• Support reconciliation and validation between SAP source data and Power BI reporting outputs

• Identify data quality issues and work with SAP/data teams to resolve them

Data Modeling & Analytics

• Design robust dimensional and semantic data models for enterprise reporting

• Develop data transformation processes using Power Query and other relevant technologies

• Integrate SAP and non-SAP data sources into analytical reporting environments

• Ensure appropriate relationships, hierarchies, dimensions, measures, and business rules are implemented

• Analyze data trends, variances, exceptions, and business performance

• Develop analytical solutions that support operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reliable and optimized data pipelines

• Contribute to data governance, data quality, and master data improvement initiatives

KPI & Business Reporting

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and analytical priorities

• Translate business requirements into KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks

• Design and maintain KPI frameworks and KPI DNA mapping

• Define KPI calculation logic, ownership, data sources, targets, thresholds, and business rules

• Standardize reporting definitions and metrics across business functions

• Identify opportunities to improve existing reporting processes and eliminate manual reporting activities

• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on business data

Stakeholder Management

• Work directly with international stakeholders and business users to gather and validate requirements

• Challenge ambiguous requirements and recommend improved analytical and reporting approaches

• Present dashboards, analytical findings, KPI performance, and recommendations to management

• Conduct dashboard demonstrations, user acceptance sessions, and knowledge-transfer activities

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

• Manage multiple reporting initiatives and priorities simultaneously

Documentation & Governance

• Maintain technical and functional reporting documentation

• Develop and maintain data dictionaries, KPI definitions, report specifications, and source-to-target mappings

• Establish and maintain Power BI reporting standards and best practices

• Maintain documentation of SAP data sources and relevant business logic

• Ensure reporting solutions follow appropriate data governance and security standards

• Support continuous improvement of BI development processes and reporting quality

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes

• Explore Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AI-assisted analytics, and modern BI capabilities where relevant

• Evaluate opportunities to improve SAP-to-Power BI data integration and reporting performance

• Promote self-service BI while maintaining appropriate governance and data quality
