We are seeking a compatible Manager, IE (Denim Garments) who will work for our Denim Garment factory, Denim Asia Limited at Shafipur, Gazipur and who meets the following Criteria:
Responsibilities & Context:
Capacity Planning & Line Efficiency
Track and evaluate daily line performance, identify efficiency gaps, and remove bottlenecks.
Work with Planning to set accurate production capacity and manpower requirements.
Assess both machine output and manpower strength for smooth execution of new orders.
Recommend adjustments in line balancing and operator deployment to boost throughput.
Process Analysis & Work Study
Carry out time and motion studies to review existing operations.
Suggest improved methods, layouts, and workflows to reduce time loss and manpower dependency.
Continuously revise and update Standard Minute Values (SMVs) for ongoing and new styles.
Workstation Layout & Line Organization
Plan and implement practical workstation designs and production line arrangements.
Collaborate with production and maintenance during setup or modification of lines.
Ensure proper operator placement and balanced feeding to achieve planned efficiency.
Operational Excellence & Productivity Drive
Lead initiatives that cut costs, reduce manpower pressure, and improve output.
Encourage adoption of automation, lean practices, and innovative tools.
Run continuous improvement projects to eliminate non-value-added activities.
Performance Tracking & MIS Reporting
Gather and interpret production data to guide management decisions.
Monitor KPIs such as efficiency, productivity, downtime, and operator effectiveness.
Present insights and trend reports for performance improvement.
Support in New Style Introduction
Join pre-production meetings and pilot runs to validate production feasibility.
Analyze complexity of new styles and set realistic SMVs, cost, and lead times.
Train operators on standardized sewing methods and best practices for new designs.
Workplace Safety & Standard Compliance
Ensure ergonomic and safe workstation layouts during setups.
Provide IE-related documentation during audits and follow up on corrective actions.
Promote safety awareness alongside productivity goals across all lines.
