B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from any reputed university.
Technical Knowledge : Operation/maintenance of printing (MHM, Reggiani), stenter (Bruckner, Monforts), washing (Goller, Tonello), dyeing (Sclavos, Dilmenler), boiler, compressor, plumbing, firefighting/detection systems, diesel/gas generators, water pumps.
Skills: Excellent English communication (written/oral); committed, independent, self-driven, result-oriented; strong MS Office and AutoCAD proficiency; good leadership, execution, and team management abilities
1. Utility Operation Management
Ensure uninterrupted operation and optimum performance of all utility machinery including boilers, compressors, chillers, generators, ETP, WTP, and air compressors.
Monitor machine operation parameters and adjust settings to maintain efficiency, energy optimization, and productivity.
Take timely corrective action in case of any deviation, abnormality, or equipment malfunction.
2. Maintenance & Technical Supervision
Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all utility and auxiliary equipment.
Approve requisitions for spare parts and manage inventory to maintain minimum stock levels.
Oversee maintenance logs, service reports, and repair documentation to ensure compliance and traceability.
Review maintenance costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives without compromising reliability or safety.
3. Safety, Quality, and Compliance
Ensure that all utility operations strictly comply with workplace safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure staff adherence to SOPs and PPE usage.
Coordinate with compliance and audit teams to meet statutory and buyer requirements related to energy use, emissions, and waste management.
4. Team Leadership and Development
Supervise and guide the utility operation team, ensuring effective performance, discipline, and teamwork.
Conduct periodic evaluations, identify skill gaps, and initiate appropriate training and career development programs.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, responsibility, and innovation among utility staff.
5. Coordination & Reporting
Maintain close coordination with the production, maintenance, and engineering teams to address any operational bottlenecks.
Prepare and present periodical reports on utility performance, downtime analysis, maintenance activities, and energy consumption.
Carry out additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Management or Department Head.
