Experience:
Strong experience in handling premium international buyers for knit garments.
Sound knowledge of knit product development, costing, sourcing, and order execution.
Ability to independently manage buyer communication and relationship development.
Strong understanding of fabric, trims, washing, embellishment, and garment construction for knit products.
Expertise in negotiation, price settlement, and capacity planning.
Capable of leading merchandising teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
Ability to analyze market trends, buyer demand, and product opportunities.
Experience in reputed export-oriented knit garments manufacturing companies will be preferred.
Familiarity with compliance requirements and sustainable sourcing practices of premium brands.
Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and merchandising reporting tools.
Lead overall business development initiatives by strengthening relationships with existing buyers and expanding new business opportunities across global markets.
Drive strategic buyer engagement through negotiations, presentations, and commercial discussions to ensure sustainable business growth and achievement of annual sales targets.
Oversee the end-to-end merchandising operations from product development, costing, order confirmation, and production planning to final shipment execution.
Ensure accurate costing, profitability analysis, CM calculation, and effective cost optimization to maximize business profitability.
Provide strategic direction to cross-functional teams including sourcing, planning, production, quality assurance, compliance, and commercial departments to ensure seamless operational execution.
Monitor production progress, resolve critical operational bottlenecks, and ensure timely shipment while minimizing quality issues, delays, and buyer claims.
Lead and develop high-performing merchandising teams by setting KPIs, driving performance management, succession planning, capability development, and leadership grooming initiatives.
Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, international standards, sustainability practices, and ethical sourcing guidelines across all merchandising activities.
Analyze market trends, customer demand, and competitive landscapes to identify new growth opportunities and business strategies.
Prepare business forecasts, order projections, management reports, and strategic insights to support top management in decision-making and annual business planning.
