Job Summary:

Responsible for managing the merchandising process for woven garments, from product development and order confirmation through production, shipment, and delivery, while ensuring buyer requirements, quality standards, timelines and commercial objectives are achieved.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with international buyers and buying houses.

• Handle buyer inquiries, product development, costing and order negotiations.

• Prepare and follow up on samples, approvals, lab dips, trims, fabrics and accessories.

• Coordinate with design, sourcing, production, quality, and commercial teams to ensure smooth order execution.

• Prepare and maintain T&A, order status, production plans and shipment schedules.

• Follow up closely on production progress to ensure timely delivery.

• Monitor fabric, trims, accessories and other materials to ensure availability as per requirements.

• Ensure all buyer comments and specifications are properly communicated and implemented.

• Coordinate pre-production meetings and ensure approvals are completed before bulk production.

• Monitor quality, production and compliance requirements throughout the order cycle.

• Identify potential production or delivery issues and take timely corrective actions.

• Prepare order-related reports, costing sheets and buyer correspondence.

• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain proper records for all orders.

• Support the team in achieving shipment targets and maintaining buyer satisfaction.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile, Fashion, Apparel Merchandising or a related field.

Experience

• 4–8+ years of experience in woven garments merchandising for Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser level.

• Strong knowledge of woven garment construction, fabrics, washing, finishing and production processes.

Additional Requirements:

• Good understanding of costing, consumption, T&A, order follow-up and shipment procedures.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills with buyers and suppliers.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Proficiency in MS Office and merchandising-related software.

• Experience working with international buyers and buying houses will be preferred.
