Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline.
Candidates with relevant training/certification in Store Management, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Management will get preference.
Candidates with experience managing a chemical store in a large manufacturing or export-oriented factory will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of chemical storage, handling, inventory control, and safety procedures.
Good knowledge of FIFO/FEFO, stock reconciliation, inventory reporting, and documentation.
Familiarity with MSDS/SDS, COA, chemical labeling, and chemical safety requirements.
Good command of MS Office, particularly MS Excel and ERP/Inventory Management Software.
Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, discipline, and safety awareness.
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Manager – Store (Chemical) to oversee the overall management of the chemical store and ensure the safe, accurate, and timely receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of chemicals. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining proper stock records, ensuring FIFO/FEFO practices, coordinating with Purchase, Washing, Production, R&D, and other concerned departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and company requirements.
Manage the overall operations of the Chemical Store, including receiving, storage, issuance, and inventory control.
Receive chemicals and verify quantity, quality, packaging, labels, and relevant documents against purchase orders and delivery challans.
Ensure proper storage of chemicals according to their type, compatibility, safety requirements, and manufacturer instructions.
Maintain accurate records of chemical receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and closing stock.
Ensure proper implementation of FIFO/FEFO methods for chemical inventory management.
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
Coordinate with Purchase, Washing, Production, R&D, Commercial, and Finance departments regarding chemical requirements and stock status.
Ensure chemicals are issued only against authorized requisitions and maintain proper documentation.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in chemical stock and maintain proper adjustment records.
Ensure proper labeling, identification, segregation, and stacking of chemicals in the store.
Ensure proper handling of hazardous, flammable, corrosive, and other sensitive chemicals as per safety requirements.
Maintain and update MSDS/SDS, COA, chemical specifications, and other relevant documents where applicable.
Ensure proper use and availability of PPE, spill-control materials, fire-safety equipment, and other necessary safety arrangements.
Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, ventilation, and proper workplace organization within the chemical store.
Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper identification and disposal/return of expired or damaged chemicals according to company procedures.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly chemical stock and consumption reports for management.
Maintain proper documentation for internal, customer, compliance, and safety audits.
Lead and supervise store personnel and ensure effective allocation of duties and responsibilities.
Train store personnel on proper chemical handling, storage, safety, and inventory procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, reduce wastage, and optimize store operations.
Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
