Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

The Senior Executive - Regulatory Affairs is responsible for managing and coordinating regulatory, licensing, approval, renewal, and compliance-related activities for corporate clients across various industries, with particular expertise in Hospital & Healthcare and Garments/Textile sectors. The position involves liaising with relevant government authorities, preparing and submitting applications and supporting documents, monitoring regulatory requirements, and ensuring that all licenses, permits, certificates, and approvals are obtained and renewed within the required timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Licensing & Compliance

  • Handle the complete process of obtaining, renewing, amending, and updating various government licenses, permits, certificates, and approvals.

  • Maintain an updated regulatory compliance calendar and monitor license expiry dates.

  • Review regulatory requirements and advise clients on necessary documentation and compliance procedures.

  • Prepare applications, letters, declarations, undertakings, forms, and supporting documents for submission to relevant authorities.

  • Follow up with government offices and regulatory bodies to ensure timely processing of applications.

Hospital & Healthcare Regulatory Affairs

  • Manage licensing and regulatory matters for hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, and healthcare organizations.

  • Coordinate Hospital & Diagnostic License applications and renewals with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

  • Handle regulatory requirements relating to foreign doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, including relevant permissions, NOCs, registrations, and approvals.

  • Coordinate with relevant authorities such as DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC), Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC), and other applicable regulatory bodies.

  • Assist clients with healthcare-related statutory and regulatory documentation and compliance requirements.

Garments, Textile & Factory Regulatory Affairs

  • Handle licensing and regulatory requirements for garments, textile, buying house, factory, and related businesses.

  • Coordinate applications, renewals, amendments, and approvals with relevant government authorities.

  • Manage regulatory requirements relating to Factory License, Fire License, Environmental Clearance, Trade License, DIFE-related approvals, boiler-related matters, chemical licenses, and other applicable permits.

  • Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance for manufacturing and garment-related establishments.

  • Coordinate inspections, submissions, and follow-ups with concerned government offices.

General Licensing & Government Approvals

Handle various licenses and approvals, including but not limited to:

  • Trade License

  • Fire License

  • Environmental Clearance Certificate

  • Factory License

  • Hospital & Diagnostic License

  • DIFE-related licenses and registrations

  • Boiler-related approvals

  • Chemical storage/use/transport licenses

  • BERC-related licenses and permissions

  • Company and business-related regulatory approvals

  • Other sector-specific licenses and government permissions

Client & Government Liaison

  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding regulatory requirements, documentation, progress, and pending issues.

  • Liaise with government officials and regulatory authorities on behalf of clients.

  • Attend government offices, inspections, hearings, and meetings when required.

  • Resolve documentation discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with clients.

Documentation & Record Management

  • Prepare and maintain complete regulatory files for each client.

  • Maintain records of licenses, certificates, applications, receipts, challans, approvals, renewals, and correspondence.

  • Track the status of applications and provide regular updates to management and clients.

  • Ensure that all regulatory documents are properly organized and readily available for audit or inspection.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare periodic regulatory status reports for management and clients.

  • Monitor upcoming license renewals and ensure timely initiation of renewal processes.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and government authorities to complete regulatory assignments.

  • Identify potential compliance gaps and report them to the appropriate authority within the organization.
