Job Context

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Planning (Wash) to lead the overall washing planning function of our garment manufacturing operations. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing effective washing plans in line with order requirements, production capacity, TNA and shipment schedules. The role will require strong coordination with Merchandising, Production, Washing, IE, Quality, Commercial and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth order flow, optimum capacity utilization and timely shipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the overall Washing Planning function to ensure timely and efficient execution of production plans as per shipment requirements.

• Develop and implement daily, weekly and monthly washing plans based on order requirements, capacity, TNA and shipment schedules.

• Coordinate with Merchandising, Marketing, Production, Washing, IE, Quality, Commercial and Supply Chain teams for smooth order execution.

• Monitor washing capacity, machine utilization, manpower requirements and production loading to ensure optimum resource utilization.

• Ensure effective order allocation and batch planning according to capacity, style, wash type, buyer requirements and production priorities.

• Monitor WIP, input, output and order status and take corrective actions to minimize delays and bottlenecks.

• Ensure effective follow-up of TNA, critical path and shipment deadlines and develop contingency plans when required.

• Analyze planned vs. actual production performance and prepare MIS and management reports.

• Develop capacity plans and forecasts based on current and future order volumes.

• Work closely with Washing Production and IE teams to improve productivity, efficiency, capacity utilization and OTD.

• Monitor style-wise and order-wise progress and escalate critical production, quality, capacity and material issues.

• Establish effective planning systems to improve lead time, production flow and operational efficiency.

• Lead, motivate and develop the Washing Planning team to achieve departmental objectives.

• Provide strategic planning insights and recommendations to senior management.
