UTAH Fashions Ltd., a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in Bangladesh, is seeking an experienced, dynamic & high-potential professional as Manager - Technical (Jacket) for the Garments Division in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the technical development process for all outerwear and jacket categories from proto samples through bulk production.
Analyze buyer tech packs, construction details, and fit specifications to direct accurate pattern creation and sample execution.
Conduct pre-production technical risk assessments to identify and eliminate sewing, fitting, and construction issues prior to line loading.
Guide CAD pattern makers to ensure precise fitting, accurate grading, and maximum marker utilization efficiency.
Develop standardized operation breakdowns, folder/attachment requirements, and sewing methods for complex jacket styles.
Facilitate internal and buyer fit sessions to review comments and execute necessary technical pattern adjustments promptly.
Provide direct, on-floor technical troubleshooting during sewing line setup and bulk production runs to resolve construction bottlenecks.
Establish technical SOPs for heavy outerwear stitching, seam sealing, lining construction, padding, and zipper/hardware attachment.
Approve pre-production samples (PPS) and seal garments against buyer specifications before authorizing mass production.
Monitor fabric shrinkage, interlining performance, and garment washing/finishing parameters to ensure final measurements match approval samples.
Train pattern technicians, sample machinists, and line quality auditors on advanced jacket assembly techniques and defect prevention.
Review CAD marker layouts and consumption parameters to optimize fabric utilization and minimize wastage.
Partner with foreign buyer technical representatives and third-party inspectors during pre-final and final technical audits.
Implement continuous quality improvement tools and line-balancing practices to reduce garment rework and defect rates.
Ensure full compliance with international buyer technical manuals, factory safety standards, and quality management systems.
