Experience:
Minimum 12 years in apparel production management, with at least 5+ years in a Managerial role secifically handling Activewear production lines.
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of activewear machinery (Flatlock, 4-needle 6-thread, bonded seam sealing, laser cutting, automated spreaders) and synthetic/knit fabric handling (spandex, nylon blends, polyester, compression fabrics).
Proficiency in Garment ERP systems, FastReact, GSD (Garment Sewing Data), and MS Office suite.
UTAH Fashions Ltd., a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in the country is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly capable professional for the position of Manager-Production (Activewear), located in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily activewear line operations to achieve target efficiency, high output speed, and strict buyer delivery schedules.
Manage complex synthetic and high-stretch fabrics (spandex, polyester blends, mesh) while controlling tension and fabric curling.
Direct the technical setup and utilization of flatlock, 4-needle 6-thread, cover stitch & automated seam-bonding machinery.
Design efficient line layouts and SMV-based operational sequences specifically structured for ergonomic stretch-wear construction.
Ensure flawless execution of active stretch seams, preventing stitch cracking, needle cuts, thread snapping & puckering.
Supervise specialized activewear processes, including heat-seal transfer, laser cutting, sonic welding & tape-bonded seams.
Enforce AQL quality standards from cutting to packing to maintain low DHU across synthetic lines.
Lead Pre-Production (PP) meetings alongside IE, Merchandising & QA to proactively resolve stretch & seam construction challenges.
Oversee line handling of specialized performance finishes, moisture-wicking properties & delicate synthetic trims.
Coordinate with Merchandising, Cutting, IE & Maintenance to ensure smooth input flow & zero line stoppage.
Implement lean techniques to minimize fabric wastage, reduce rework rates & optimize garment SAM.
Supervise activewear finishing, low-heat pressing, anti-static treatment & poly-packing standards.
Train line supervisors & operators on precision flatseam feeding, stretch manipulation & high-speed sewing techniques.
Maintain factory compliance, buyer social audit standards, and workplace safety across activewear sewing lines.
