UTAH Fashions Ltd., a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in Bangladesh, is seeking an experienced, dynamic & high-potential professional as Manager - Technical (Activewear) for the Garments Division in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the technical development process for activewear garments from prototype development through bulk production.
Analyze buyer tech packs, stretch ratios & performance specifications to direct precise pattern creation & sample execution.
Guide CAD pattern technicians in engineering ergonomic patterns tailored for high stretch, recovery & compression properties.
Conduct pre-production technical risk assessments to resolve potential issues related to seam elasticity, stitch cracking & fabric distortion.
Standardize operation breakdowns, folder attachments & machine settings for specialized flatlock, coverstitch & high-stretch sewing lines.
Lead internal & buyer fit sessions to evaluate garment performance under stretch & movement, executing pattern adjustments accordingly.
Provide hands-on on-floor technical troubleshooting during line setup & bulk sewing to eliminate construction bottlenecks.
Establish technical SOPs for specialized processes including seam bonding, ultrasonic welding, laser cutting & reflective heat transfers.
Monitor fabric stretch & recovery rates, shrinkage & weight parameters to ensure post-wash measurement stability.
Inspect & approve pre-production samples (PPS) against buyer technical manuals before authorizing mass line loading.
Train pattern makers, sample machinists, and quality auditors on advanced activewear assembly techniques & defect prevention.
Review CAD markers to optimize fabric consumption & minimize wastage on high-cost synthetic & elastane fabrics.
Partner directly with foreign buyer technical teams & third-party inspectors during technical audits & sample approvals.
Implement continuous line-balancing methods to increase sewing line efficiency & lower DHU rates.
Maintain strict compliance with international physical testing standards, buyer technical guidelines & factory safety SOPs.
