• Professional Certification: CA (FCA / ACA) or CMA (FCMA / ACMA) fully qualified is highly preferred.

• Minimum 12-15 years of overall experience in Accounting & Finance with at least 10 years in a leadership role) within a large-scale RMG / Textile manufacturing setup.

• Deep practical knowledge of Back-to-Back L/C processing, offshore/inland bill discounting, UP/UD documentation, bonded warehouse operations, and export incentive claims (cash subsidy/duty drawback).

• Taxation & VAT: Exceptional hands-on expertise in Bangladesh Income Tax Act 2023, VAT Act 2012, customs regulations, SROs & handling tax/VAT appeal cases.

• Proven track record of managing large credit facilities, fund-based and non-fund-based banking lines, currency risk management, and maintaining strong relationships with Bangladesh Bank and commercial banks.

• Costing & Factory Finance: Direct experience in apparel pre-costing, post-costing, CM analysis, fabric/trim wastage accounting, and monthly factory P&L accountability.

• Leadership & Audit: Excellent leadership skills to manage large accounting teams across head office and factory units, with proven ability to successfully lead external and statutory audits.

A renowned RMG in Bangladesh is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly capable professional for the position of General Manager-Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee complete financial operations, ledger management, and end-to-end accounting processes for the RMG unit.

• Direct monthly, quarterly & annual financial closing, ensuring complete accuracy and timely reporting.

• Manage commercial accounting, including Back-to-Back L/C opening, retirement, tracking & export-import documentation.

• Monitor cash flow, working capital, bank limits & daily liquidity to support ongoing factory production & operations.

• Lead cost accounting, product costing, style-wise profitability analysis & wastage minimization strategies.

• Ensure strict compliance with national income tax, VAT, customs duty & government regulations applicable to export RMG.

• Coordinate internal, external & statutory audits, ensuring zero non-compliance & timely resolution of audit queries.

• Oversee payroll processing, OT calculations, worker wages, & festival bonus disbursements in line with labor laws.

• Maintain strong banking relationships to negotiate favorable credit facilities, forex rates & loan structures.

• Execute financial risk management, forex hedging, and cost-control initiatives across all garment divisions.

• Implement and manage specialized RMG ERP financial modules to streamline accounting workflows and automated reporting.

• Liaise with government bodies, Bangladesh Bank, NBR, and BGMEA/BKMEA for regulatory permissions and incentive claims.

• Formulate and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasting, and variance analysis reports for board-level review.
