A leading international convenience store chain, and one of the largest in its home country is entering the Bangladesh retail market through a joint venture with Kazi Farms Limited. With an ambitious vision to set new benchmarks in retail customer experience, the project is currently in its pre-opening phase. To be part of this exciting journey, we are seeking a competent Manager, HR and Admin to oversee and coordinate all administrative functions in close collaboration with both the international project team and local stakeholders.
Job Purpose:
The Manager, HR and Admin is responsible for setting up and managing the HR and administrative functions. This role will oversee recruitment, training, HR policy development, performance management and employee support, while ensuring required administrative support and compliance with regulatory requirements. The incumbent will also work closely with both local and international teams to establish strong people practices and ensure smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute recruitment for various store-level and support-level positions.
• Work with recruitment agencies, job boards, and educational institutions to build a candidate pipeline.
• Collaborate with international counterparts to develop training modules tailored for local employees.
• Organize induction programs, customer service training, POS training, and soft skills development for new hires.
• Develop onboarding, attendance, code of conduct, and performance management systems.
• Customize and implement HR policies in compliance with Bangladeshi labor laws.
• Support payroll preparation by providing timely and accurate employee data.
• Facilitate work permits/visas, housing, and orientation for expatriate employees.
• Ensure smooth execution of all administrative, regulatory, and facility-related operations.
• Act as a bridge between the local team and foreign HR team to ensure alignment on people practices.
Remuneration will be offered depending upon the profile of the candidate.
