Experience:
1. Strategic & Material Quality Ownership
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the SIS strategy, aligning it with global business needs.
Expert Consulting: Serve as the final technical authority and consultant on all complex quality issues related to Fabrics, Printing & Embellishment Techniques, Raw Materials, and Trims/Interlining.
Supplier Matrix Management: Oversee the application and strategic expansion of the Self-Inspection Supplier Skill matrix, ensuring the program is rolled out to qualified, high-performing suppliers.
Technology Integration: Drive the adoption and optimal use of quality-related digital platforms (GIN, PLM, Pivot 88) to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting across the SIS network.
2. Leadership & Quality Control
o Mentor & manage a team of Quality Inspectors and Asst. Managers.
o Focusing on Process Optimization.
o Establish, monitor & report for the entire SIS program.
3. Direct the analytic review of quality data to identify the systemic quality risks and recurring supplier failure.
4. Developing data-driven, long-term corrective action plans.
III. Compliance & Risk Management
* Audit & Certification: Oversee the auditing and re-certification process of SIS suppliers, ensuring rigorous compliance with the Supplier Quality Manual (SQM).
* Product Safety: Hold ultimate accountability for ensuring all SIS program products meet stringent Product Safety standards and all applicable European Legislations.
* Risk Escalation: Lead the high-level Risk Assessment process, acting as the primary decision-maker and liaison for escalating major quality failures to the Head of QAD.
* Regulatory Updates: Ensure the QAD team and all SIS suppliers are trained on and compliant with the latest regulatory changes and manual updates.
IV. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
* Cross-Functional Leadership: Work directly with the QAD Team, Sourcing, and Merchandising departments to integrate quality goals into the entire product lifecycle, from design to delivery.
* Internal Training: Design and deliver high-impact Quality training (both internal and external) to elevate the technical competence of the QAD team and supplier inspectors.
* Escalation & Resolution: Manage the full Escalation Process for critical quality failures, personally leading complex quality issues related investigations and approving final corrective action plans & NCR closure.
* Supplier Relationship: Maintain strategic relationships with top-tier SIS supplier management to drive joint continuous improvement projects.
V. Skills & Qualifications
* Management Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control in the apparel industry, with 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing a team.
* Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive, expert-level knowledge of Fabrics, Garment Construction, Product Safety, and International Quality Standards.
* Soft Skills:
* Exceptional Team building and leadership approach.
* Proven Problem-solving and strategic decision-making capabilities.
* Superior communication skills verbal & written in both Bangla and English.
* Excellent presentation skills for executive-level reporting.
* Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Pivot 88, and Outlook.
