Alam Textile & Garments is seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Manager, Payroll to centralize payroll operations for all business concerns from the Corporate Office.
This role is responsible for developing standardized payroll processes, ensuring statutory compliance, strengthening payroll governance, and delivering accurate and timely salary administration across manufacturing units, retail operations, corporate offices, and sister concerns.
Manage the end-to-end payroll operations for all concerns of Alam's from the Corporate Office.
Develop and implement standardized payroll policies, procedures, controls, and service delivery models across all business units.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, wages, incentives, overtime, bonuses, leave encashment, final settlements, and other employee benefits.
Verify payroll inputs including attendance, leave records, shift schedules, overtime, production incentives, and employee movements before payroll processing.
Ensure full compliance with the Bangladesh Labour Act, Labour Rules, Income Tax Ordinance, company policies, and other statutory requirements.
Coordinate closely with HR, Finance, Factory Administration, Retail Operations, and departmental heads to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve payroll-related issues.
Lead payroll budgeting, cost analysis, manpower cost reporting, salary reconciliation, and MIS reporting for management.
Manage payroll software/HRIS, recommend automation initiatives, and continuously improve payroll efficiency and internal controls.
Conduct payroll audits and ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of employee payroll data.
Supervise and develop the payroll team through coaching, performance management, and process improvement initiatives.
Prepare payroll-related reports and dashboards for senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Act as the organization's payroll subject matter expert and ensure a high standard of employee service regarding payroll queries.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications in Payroll, HR, Finance, ERP, or Compliance will be considered an added advantage.
5–7 years of relevant payroll experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience managing payroll for large manufacturing, retail, or multi-business organizations with a sizeable workforce is highly preferred.
Experience in centralized payroll operations and payroll transformation initiatives will be an added advantage.
