Responsibilities & Context:

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

This position is responsible for providing overall HR support to Bhasan Char project of Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme of BRAC. S/he will facilitate seamless coordination between the sector and various HR units, working closely with the HCMP HR team.

Working closely with various sectors of Bhasan Char assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures

  • Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas and ensuring its compliance. Dealing with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations

  • Design, develop and maintain the recruitment and selection process by conducting preliminary candidate screening, coordinating written tests and interviews, and facilitating the smooth transition of selected candidates into the organisation

  • Facilitate end-to-end onboarding process for newly joined staff to ensure staff understanding, adherence to HR policies and procedure, and organisational compliance standards

  • Manage attendance and leave administration process, which includes accurate tracking, validation of records, resolution of discrepancies, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and procedures

  • Execute staff separation and transfer process by conducting exit interviews, verifying clearance formalities, processing final settlements, and analyzing turnover trends to provide insights as well as maintain transfer process

  • Conduct regular field and attendance points visit to monitor the implementation of HR policies, identify gaps in adherence, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance HR service delivery across all operational locations

  • Support in payroll process through meticulous validation of attendance records, verification of leave balances, processing of salary adjustments, and close coordination with payroll manager to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of salary

  • Assist to design, coordinate, and facilitate diverse HR sessions, including policy orientation and dissemination sessions and employee engagement initiatives, sessions on PMS, welling & awareness to foster a well-informed workforce

  • Monitor the full cycle of volunteer recruitment, starting from candidate screening to onboarding, while ensuring strict adherence to predefined SOPs, maintaining meticulous records as per formats, and generating periodic analytical reports on volunteer recruitment

  • Ensure on time performance appraisal in qualitative manner

  • Maintain data archiving, analysis and generate reports based on requirement and ensure all compliances during the internal and external audit process

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
