Education:
    • Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in Human Resource Management
    • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. MBA will get preference.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HR and Administration, preferably in large-scale manufacturing or paper mill/industrial environments.
  • Proven ability to manage HR teams, factory administration, compliance, and employee relations effectively.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to maintain discipline and motivate teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law, Factory Act and other compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems for HR & administrative reporting.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations, conflict resolution, and decision-making efficiently


Responsibilities & Context:

Position Purpose

To manage and oversee the Human Resources and Administrative functions of Jamuna Paper Mills Ltd., ensuring smooth operations, policy compliance, and efficient delivery of support services. This position is responsible for maintaining employee relations, discipline, and welfare while ensuring effective administrative control and resource management that contribute to the productivity and sustainability of the factory’s operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage HR & administrative functions of the factory, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee manpower planning, recruitment and placement of employees as per operational needs.
  • Supervise staff attendance, shift scheduling, leave management and overall discipline within the factory premises.
  • Administer employee performance evaluation, training and development programs in coordination with the HR department.
  • Handle grievance management, labor relations and disciplinary matters in line with labor laws and company regulations.
  • Ensure effective management of administrative activities including office management, facilities, security, canteen, transport and housekeeping services.
  • Maintain employee welfare, safety, and health programs as per factory standards and compliance norms.
  • Liaison with local government authorities, law enforcement agencies and other external bodies on administrative and legal matters.
  • Oversee maintenance and proper utilization of company properties, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Manage vendor and service provider contracts related to administrative services (security, housekeeping, transport, canteen, etc.).
  • Monitor compliance with labor, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct periodic audits and inspections of factory facilities and administrative systems to ensure efficiency.
  • Assist senior management in planning, budgeting and implementing cost-effective HR & administrative practices.
  • Prepare and submit periodic HR & Admin reports to the management.
  • Any other activities as and when required by management.

Internal: Operations, Production, Maintenance, Finance, Procurement, Compliance, Distribution, Senior Management.

External: Government Authorities, Local Administration, Law Enforcement, Vendors/Contractors, Service Providers
