Experience
- Minimum 4–8 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably within manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
- Proven capability in managing warehouse/distribution operations and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting; familiarity with WMS, ERP, or distribution software preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid leadership and team-management skills to supervise distribution staff and instill safety culture.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to oversee multiple tasks, operate under time pressure, and drive operational improvements.
Responsibilities & Context: Position Purpose
To oversee and optimize the Logistics & distribution operations of Jamuna Paper Mills Ltd., ensuring timely, accurate and cost-effective delivery of finished goods. This role supports the distribution strategy, manages logistics execution and ensures inventory accuracy while maintaining high customer service standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support daily logistics & distribution operations including overseeing order fulfillment, shipment tracking and delivery scheduling.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Production, Dispatch, Sales) and third-party logistics partners to ensure seamless distribution flow and high on-time-in-full delivery performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy during dispatch to prevent discrepancies, damages or stock outs.
- Supervise logistics & distribution staff, including pickers, packers and loaders; provide training, performance feedback, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Analyze key performance metrics (e.g., order accuracy, delivery times, and cost per dispatch) and prepare regular reports for management for process improvement.
- Collaborate on process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.
- Manage compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards in all distribution activities.
- Maintain strong external relationships with transporters, 3PLs, warehouse operators and regulatory bodies.
- Support special projects like implementing distribution technologies (e.g., WMS, ERP modules), or cost-saving initiatives.
