Job Context:
∎ Work Location: IRC-Bangladesh, Cox`s Bazar Office
∎ Reporting To: Senior Human Resources Coordinator
∎ Department: Human Resources
∎ Expected Start Date: At Earliest
∎ Contract length: 2 Years (with possibility of extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Policy and Compliance:

∎ Ensure HR teams are following proper compliance in recruitment and selection process and provide necessary feedback to the team and inform HR coordinator about that suggested corrective actions.
∎ Develop different policy and procedures considering the Bangladesh context, update them take necessary approval, talk with lawyers and update the formats and track the changes and circulate them time to time and arrange the training session for better acceptability.
∎ Orient the staff about the policies through different training sessions in all the offices, provide clarification to the staff time to time.
∎ Establish Duty of care and maintain.
∎ L&D & Employee Engagement:

∎ Support different initiative initiated by Region and HQ and take lead on those initiatives in country level such as IRC way day, raise concern campaign, employee engagement survey, gender sensitivity and awareness campaign.
∎ Develop L& D plan in consultation with programs, TNA, assessing goal setting form, facilitate and run different training initiatives by searching appropriate facilitators.
∎ Initiate different employee engagement activities, suggest different initiatives, and take different engagement suggested by region and HQ.
∎ Employee relation:

∎ Lead country level complain management process, file those issue and provide necessary report to management and guide staff in consultation with the HR coordinator and relevant authorities.
∎ Coordination to provide physiological support to employees.
∎ Work for women welfare as a focal person in W@W.
∎ Work as a focal of Gender equality.
∎ Selection, Induction and Placement:

∎ Attend interview for Manager and Sr. Manager level.
∎ To ensure proper and effective onboarding process for national Staff and Expat, facilitate onboarding trainings, set induction meetings, implement them and provide all the necessary support for their relevant queries.
∎ Crafting induction materials, update them time to time considering the context, and communicate and keep the staff updated about the changes.
∎ Update onboarding tracker and reporting and provide necessary feedback to management.
∎ Performance Management:

∎ Ensure goal setting of all staffs.
∎ Establish performance evaluation module as per global practice. Work on modification (If required).
∎ Ensure yearly/Mid-year/Probationary performance evaluation of all employees.

Additional Requirements:
∎ HR professional preferably having at least 7 years of demonstrated experience of staff management, recruitment, compensation, training and development and HR Administration.
∎ Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Experience of working with an international organization or having international experience is preferable.
∎ Strong training and development skills; experienced in conducting Training of the Trainer.
∎ Demonstrable ability to plan long-term, organize priorities and work under administrative and programmatic pressures with detail orientation and professional grace.
∎ Proven sense of professional discretion, integrity, and ability to manage complex HR situations diplomatically and to effective resolution.
∎ Top-tier written and verbal communication skills.
∎ Excellent management, interpersonal and negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to promote harmonious/cohesive teamwork, in a cross-cultural context.
∎ Ability to demonstrate a supportive and consultative approach with direct reports and staff at senior and junior levels.
∎ Very strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.
∎ Presents a professional demeanor at all times. Approaches others in a tactful manner. Reacts well under pressure. Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Accepts responsibility for own actions. Follows through on commitments.
∎ Solid understanding of Bangladesh Labor Act (BLA).
