Educational Requirements:
∎ High school diploma and completion of a craft apprenticeship in sewing machine repair.
∎ Trade Course or professional course is required to become an electrician.

∎ 4 to 5 year(s)

∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform maintenance and repairs on quilting machines and all types sewing machines including overlock, chainstitch, and lockstitch.
∎ Perform tasks to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
∎ Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
∎ Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
∎ Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
∎ Diagnose problems, repair or replace parts, test and adjust.
∎ Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
∎ Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
∎ Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meter, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
∎ Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
∎ Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
∎ Experience in cable laying, connection, troubleshooting panel control, adequate substation skills (LT, HT, VCB and PFI)
∎ Read blueprints or technical diagrams
∎ Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems
∎ Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
∎ Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
∎ Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using handtools and power tools
∎ Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code
∎ Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Mechanical knowledge and repair of sewing machines manufactured by Conesew, Juki, Singer, Brother
∎ Able to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
∎ Ability to work independently.
∎ Ability to work with a highly diversified work force.
∎ Ethical Conduct.
