Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor/ Masters in any discipline.
∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering from any reputed university preferred.

∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ As a Fabric Technologist you will play a key part of the team. You will manage the color, fabric & sustainability process from Design through to Supply Chain ensuring that best practice are implemented to drive cost and time efficiencies whilst delivering right product / right supplier.
∎ and prepare key trend presentations to the buying and design teams.
∎ Actively source and manage the fabric supply base and expand the respective network in Bangladesh, India, and overseas countries to introduce new sourcing routes.
∎ Understand and keep up to date with fabric pricing, consumptions and duty regulations to provide key commercials to product negotiation to enable margin improvement.
∎ Where needed drive strategic seasonal cross costing projects on core programs globally, managing fabric consolidation opportunities.
∎ Work with retailer to gather information to create tech packs where appropriate.
∎ Regular visits & interaction with mills ….......
∎ Review new sources, identify key trends and gather innovation on fibres, yarn, process and chemicals
∎ Risk assess capabilities, specialities and drive best practise
∎ Problem shoot and manage critical path when required "
∎ Support Retailer and Suppliers with Key Fabric Standards (KFS) through accreditation, approvals and identifying right source to achieve quality, delivery, and sustainability goals
∎ Where required manage approvals for lab dips, bulk, and strike offs
∎ Actively manage fabric sourcing critical path & manage day-to-day fabric sourcing requests.
∎ Have good knowledge of and support sustainability targets through management of governance and documentation process, including but not limited to, HIGG / ZDHC and Chemical safety.
∎ Ensure fabric test reports are meeting requirements and support in coordinating fabric testing with the necessary third-party labs.
∎ When required inspect the quality of fabric for quality inspection with the suppliers & factories
∎ With the quality team develop and drive the use of 3D technology for fabric to drive a reduced lead time, cost efficiencies and better sustainability.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least Five years work experience in the same or similar role with excellent experience in apparel industry
∎ Up to date with the latest fabric and sustainability trends, best practices and textile processes - spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing. Working directly with mills, agents and manufacturers.
∎ Understanding of print techniques, cost & capabilities.
∎ 3D technology skills and experience
∎ Ability to build clear, confident, positive communication with company colleagues and suppliers with the ability to form relationships, influence, and work collaboratively across the business
∎ Good interpersonal, influencing, listening, organizational, presentation and decision-making skills
∎ Self-motivated and able to work under pressure, quickly and efficiently
∎ Excellent communication skills & fluent in English – written & verbal.
