Experience:
Masters in Accounting, MBA in Accounting or Finance.
Professional qualifications such as CA (CC), CMA (Part Qualified), ACCA, or equivalent will be given preference.
Candidates with audit experience in the RMG/manufacturing sector or in a reputed Chartered Accountancy firm will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, risk assessment methodologies, and business processes.
Sound understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, VAT, Tax, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, report writing, and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments simultaneously.
Willingness to travel to factories/units as required.
Job Context:
We are looking for a dedicated Internal Audit professional who is willing to go the extra mile to strengthen internal controls and ensure transparency across our garment manufacturing operations. The role involves conducting operational and financial audits, identifying risks and control gaps, and recommending practical improvements to enhance business performance and safeguard company assets.
Responsibilities:
Conduct scheduled and surprise audits across factory operations, departments, warehouses, and business units to evaluate operational efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
Assess compliance with company policies, SOPs, operational procedures, and internal control frameworks.
Identify operational inefficiencies, process gaps, control weaknesses, and cost leakages; recommend practical corrective actions.
Review inventory management, store operations, warehouse controls, and material movement processes to ensure proper accountability and asset protection.
Evaluate procurement, production, logistics, and support functions to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective action plans.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports highlighting findings, risks, root causes, and recommendations.
Support management in strengthening operational excellence and process improvement initiatives.
Conduct risk-based financial audits to verify the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial records and transactions.
Review payments, vendor bills, internal bills, vouchers, reimbursements, and expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Verify cash management practices, petty cash transactions, bank reconciliations, and financial control procedures.
Identify irregularities, discrepancies, fraud risks, revenue leakages, and control deficiencies; recommend corrective measures.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation regulations, VAT requirements, and statutory obligations.
Prepare structured audit reports with clear observations, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
Assist management in strengthening financial controls, cost optimization, and profitability improvement initiatives.
Conduct investigations and special audits as assigned by management.
Assist in strengthening the organization's risk management and governance framework.
Maintain strict confidentiality, objectivity, and professional ethics in all audit activities.
Coordinate with department heads to ensure timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions.
