Experience:
Master`s degree or Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications in International Trade, Customs, or Commercial Management will be considered an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Import regulations, Customs Act, Bonded Warehouse Management, BGMEA, EPB, and Bangladesh Bank policies.
Expertise in LC operations, UCP 600, INCOTERMS, international shipping, trade finance, and customs clearance.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight shipment deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context
Manage group commercial operations including import, shipping, customs clearance and logistics activities for all concerns.
Manage and monitor opening, amendment, and settlement of Import L/Cs and Back-to-Back L/C, TT and other banking instruments.
Ensure timely customs clearance of raw materials, capital machinery, spare parts and export consignments.
Maintain effective coordination with banks, C&F agents, shipping lines, freight forwarders, suppliers and government authorities.
Oversee bonded warehouse operations and custom audit and ensure compliance with customs, VAT and bonded regulations.
Ensure proper preparation and verification of commercial documents including invoice, packing list, bill of lading, insurance, GSP and other shipping documents.
Monitor and ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank Regulations, customs laws, VAT rules and international trade policies.
Develop and implement commercial strategies to minimize cost, improve efficiency and ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
Negotiate freight charge, shipping agreements and service contracts with local and international stakeholders.
Supervise bond license management, UD utilization, customs audits, and regulatory reporting.
Prepare group commercial reports, shipment status, import-export analysis and management updates for top management.
Build and maintain liaison with BGMEA, Customs Authority, Port Authority, Textile Board, BIDA and other regulatory organizations.
Any other task assigned by the management time to time.
