Experience:
B.Sc. in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial & Production Engineering, or equivalent.
Educational criteria may be relaxed basing on experience.
8–10 years of relevant experience in Denim Washing Quality, preferably in a 100% Denim Washing Factory.
Strong experience in Shade Quality, Washing Quality, Shade Matching, Shade Banding and Shade Approval.
Additional Requirements
Hands-on experience in handling buyer complaints, shade claims, rejection, rework and rewash.
Good knowledge of Denim Washing Processes, Wet Process, Dry Process and Finishing.
Experience in root cause analysis, corrective action and preventive action (CAPA).
Experience working with QC, QI, R&D, Production and Buyer QA/GPQ teams.
Good understanding of buyer quality standards and washing quality requirements.
Experience in defect analysis, quality reporting and statistical data analysis.
Must be fluent at English (Reading, writing and speaking).

Job Responsibilities
Take styling approval after first production and discuss quality issues with QC/QI and Production teams.
Resolve shade-related buyer claims and complaints through proper root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain shade defect percentage within the acceptable quality limit.
Check rejected garments for possible rectification/rework and report critical issues to the supervisor/management.
Reduce shade-related defects, rework, rewash and rejection through effective process control.
Collect and analyze previous statistical data on different types of shade and washing defects.
Maintain effective communication with Quality Controllers, QI, Production and buyer-wise GPQ teams.
Ensure bulk production shade is matched with approved sample, shade standard and buyer requirements.
Monitor lot-to-lot and batch-to-batch shade variation throughout the washing process.
Monitor shade band, shade grouping and shade continuity according to approved standards.
Check washed garments for shade, cast, brightness, contrast and overall appearance against approved standards.
Monitor washing process parameters such as recipe, chemical dosage, temperature, time, pH and other relevant parameters that may affect shade.
Coordinate with Wet Process, Dry Process, Finishing Quality and R&D teams to resolve shade-related quality issues.
Conduct regular quality inspections during bulk production to ensure consistent shade quality.
Ensure proper approval of first production, bulk shade and rewash/reprocess garments before proceeding with further production.
Maintain records of shade approvals, shade bands, rejection, rework, rewash and buyer complaints for future analysis.
Analyze recurring shade defects and develop improvement plans to reduce rejection, rework and customer complaints.
Provide technical guidance and training to QC/QI team members regarding shade identification, defect classification and buyer quality standards.
Support buyer inspections, third-party inspections and internal quality audits related to washing and shade quality.
Perform any other job-related duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager or Top Management from time to time.
