• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

• Strong technical knowledge of PLC/SCADA/HMI systems, VFDs, sensors, and industrial control networks.

• Proficiency in automation design/programming software and instrumentation calibration tools.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex control system issues.

• Project management skills for planning and executing automation upgrade projects.

Automation & Control Systems

• Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of PLC, SCADA, HMI, and other automation/control systems for production and utility equipment.

• Oversee programming, configuration, and troubleshooting of PLCs, VFDs (variable frequency drives), sensors, and control panels.

•  Drive automation upgrade and retrofit projects to improve machine efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and support Industry 4.0 initiatives.

• Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with production planning and MIS/ERP systems where applicable.

Instrumentation Management

• Oversee calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, level sensors, transmitters) across production and utility areas.

• Maintain a calibration schedule and records for all critical instruments to ensure measurement accuracy and audit compliance.

• Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to ensure instrumentation supports process consistency and product quality standards.

Maintenance & Reliability

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for automation and instrumentation assets to minimize unplanned downtime.

• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring automation/control system failures.

• Maintain technical documentation, control logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals for all automated systems.

• Manage spare parts planning for automation/instrumentation components in coordination with Procurement.

Project & Vendor Management

• Manage automation-related capital projects from scoping through commissioning, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

• Evaluate and coordinate with external automation vendors, system integrators, and OEMs for new installations, upgrades, and specialized repairs.

• Conduct cost-benefit analysis for proposed automation investments and present recommendations to management.

Team Leadership & Safety

• Lead, train, and develop automation/instrumentation engineers and technicians, including on new technologies and safe work practices.

• Enforce electrical and control-system safety protocols (lock-out/tag-out, permit-to-work) during installation and maintenance activities.

• Coordinate with Production, Utility, and HSE teams to align automation initiatives with overall factory operations and safety standards.
