Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Set up and operate various types of weaving machines (such as shuttle looms, air jet looms, rapier looms, or dobby looms) to produce woven fabric according to specifications.
∎ Load yarns onto weaving machines, ensuring proper tension and alignment for smooth operation.
∎ Monitor the operation of weaving machines during the production run to ensure consistent quality and timely completion of orders.
∎ Perform regular maintenance on weaving machines, including cleaning, oiling, and replacing worn parts.
∎ Coordinate with the maintenance team to repair machines when necessary and reduce production downtime.
∎ Monitor fabric quality during production to ensure it meets specified standards for weave, color, and finish.
∎ Inspect finished fabric for defects such as uneven weaving, color mismatches, or yarn breakage.
∎ Suggest and implement improvements to optimize the weaving process, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
∎ Collaborate with the Weaving Supervisor, Production Manager, and other team members to meet production schedules and goals.
∎ Maintain accurate records of weaving machine settings, production output, maintenance activities, and any adjustments made during the weaving process.
∎ Ensure that the team is properly trained.
