Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented professional for the position of Sr. Manager - Merchandising (Sweater). The incumbent will be responsible for leading the sweater merchandising function, managing buyer accounts, ensuring smooth order execution, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives in terms of quality, timeline, and profitability.

This role requires strong expertise in sweater product development, costing, sourcing, production follow-up, T&A management, and customer relationship management.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Sweater Merchandising Department to ensure smooth execution of all merchandising activities.

• Handle buyer communication independently from development stage to shipment.

• Manage product development, sampling, costing, price negotiation, order confirmation, and bulk execution.

• Coordinate with buyers, factories, suppliers, washing/printing/embellishment units, QA, commercial, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery.

• Prepare and monitor Time & Action (T&A) plans and ensure all milestones are achieved within deadlines.

• Conduct cost analysis and ensure commercial viability and margin control.

• Source yarn, trims, accessories, and other raw materials in line with buyer requirements and company standards.

• Ensure proper follow-up on lab dips, knit-downs, fit samples, PP samples, size sets, TOP samples, and shipment samples.

• Closely monitor production status, quality issues, shipment schedules, and risk areas, and take proactive corrective actions.

• Maintain strong liaison with sweater factories and production teams to ensure capacity planning and smooth order flow.

• Support management in business development, account growth, and strategic customer servicing.

• Prepare merchandising reports, order status updates, and management presentations as required.

• Lead, mentor, and develop team members to enhance overall departmental performance.
