Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in a project management or managerial role.
Demonstrated experience in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), and disaster preparedness, including exposure to resilience programming.
Proven experience in managing partner-implemented projects, including coordination, quality assurance, and compliance oversight.
Strong understanding and practical application of rights-based approaches, governance, and programme management.
Solid experience in integrating disability inclusion, gender equality, and safeguarding into development and humanitarian programmes.
Substantial experience working with marginalized and at-risk communities, particularly persons with disabilities.
Prior experience working with children and youth with disabilities will be considered a strong asset.
Practical experience in disability-inclusive disaster risk management (DiDRM) will be considered an added advantage.
Proven knowledge and expertise in MEAL components, including MEAL frameworks, Log frames, and Theory of Change, and use of monitoring tools for project management.
Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to represent the organization effectively.
Ability to prepare clear, concise donor reports, technical documents, and proposals.
Experience in capacity building and technical backstopping, including training, coaching, and mentoring, preferably in disaster risk management, gender, and inclusion.
Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships and stakeholder coordination with project participants, partners, and other stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple teams.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in multicultural team environments.
Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience in organizing learning, outreach, and advocacy events, including national-level engagements.
Strong commitment to humanitarian principles, accountability, and the “Do No Harm” principle.

Job Location is CDD Head Office, Savar, Dhaka, with frequent field visits (approximately 40% of working time) to the project area in Assasuni, Satkhira.
*** Job Responsibilities:
Provide overall management and technical support to the project team to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of project interventions.
Supervise relevant staff in line with delegated authority, including setting Key Performance Objectives (KPOs), developing clear work plans, and providing regular coaching and feedback.
Provide technical guidance, coordination, and oversight to partner organization staff responsible for day-to-day field implementation, without direct line management authority.
Support partner teams across the project cycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring, review, and closure, in line with approved project documents.
Support the development and implementation of the project’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) plan, ensuring learning and knowledge products are systematically captured.
Support partner organization in establishing and operationalizing feedback and accountability mechanisms, and jointly review their effectiveness to ensure participant voices are heard.
Provide strategic support on data collection, analysis, and interpretation, including review of research outputs and field data generated by the Research Officer and partner teams.
Ensure timely and high-quality reporting, including consolidation and review of partner inputs for donor and internal reports.
Conduct regular field monitoring and support visits (approximately 30–40% of working time) to assess implementation quality, inclusion, and compliance.
Support documentation of project progress, challenges, lessons learned, and good practices for internal learning and external dissemination.
Contribute to the development of future proposals, concept notes, and funding opportunities based on project learning and emerging needs.
Support oversight of project budgets and resource utilization in coordination with CDD finance staff, ensuring compliance with donor and organizational policies.
Maintain regular coordination and communication with key stakeholders, including government authorities, local government institutions (LGIs), civil society actors, and community groups, primarily through the partner organization.
Support and advise CDD Head Office staff during field visits and in project documentation and learning processes.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.

The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities to be more inclusive whilst enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its former Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
CDD is currently looking for a Project Manager for “Resilience Begins at Home: Disability-Inclusive Disaster Preparedness in Coastal Bangladesh” project funded by Liliane Fond. The Project Manager will provide overall leadership and coordination for a family-centred, disability-inclusive disaster preparedness project implemented by a local partner organization in coastal Bangladesh. The role will ensure that project objectives—strengthening inclusive family preparedness, facilitating access to government and NGO services, and establishing functional community-based inclusive early warning and response systems—are achieved effectively. While CDD serves as the lead and grant-managing organization responsible for technical oversight, quality assurance, compliance, and learning documentation, the partner organization will manage day-to-day field implementation under the strategic guidance of the Project Manager. The duration of the project is till December-2027.
The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
