Masters in any discipline of social science (i.e. sociology, anthropology, social work, Economics, social welfare, political science etc.)
Experience Requirement:
At least Minimum 5 years of professional experience in community development and social mobilization. Experience working in rural and semi-urban development contexts or any other relevant field of NGO/INGO.
Additional Job Requirements:
Strong understanding of gender equality, social inclusion, and community development approaches.
Knowledge of social safeguard frameworks and grievance redress mechanisms.
Experience in community facilitation and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to design and implement monitoring and evaluation tools.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse communities including vulnerable populations.
Good report writing skills in English and Bengali.
Purpose: Ensure integration of gender equality, social inclusion, and community participation in WASH project activities. Strengthen social safeguards, grievance mechanisms, and community engagement to improve equitable access to WASH services.
Job Description:
Develop guidelines for social mobilization and awareness creation on WASH management.
Establish mechanisms to address Social safeguard frameworks, Gender equality issues, Disability inclusion, Grievance Redress Mechanisms (GRM).
Facilitate community meetings, consultations, and focus group discussions.
Strengthen linkages between community members, LGIs, and stakeholders.
Support collaboration between host communities and Rohingya communities.
Monitor gender and social inclusion outcomes of WASH services.
Develop appropriate M&E tools for community mobilization and gender monitoring.
Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation activities.
Support project teams in tracking progress toward Project Development Objectives (PDOs).
Develop community mobilization and M&E documentation.
Prepare high-quality reports for project management and donors.
Safeguarding:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation, and team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a critical source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident occurs and encourage others to do so.
