Experience:
Bachelor in Architecture from any reputed UGC approved Institution.
At least 3 years’ experience in relevant fields and sectors.

The Deputy Manager-Architect is responsible for providing technical and architectural leadership for shelter, site improvement, and energy interventions, ensuring design integrity, quality standards, and safe implementation. The role supports project delivery through architectural design, field-based technical supervision, and quality assurance in line with donor commitments, sector standards, and organizational safeguarding requirements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support relevant units with architectural design and technical inputs in line with donor requirements and programme operations.
Lead the development, review, and adaptation of architectural and technical designs, drawings, BOQs, and specifications in line with donor commitments and shelter standards.
Provide field-based technical supervision and architectural guidance to ensure the correct application of designs and the quality of shelter and site improvement works.
Ensure consistency, safety, and quality of shelter construction and site improvement outputs across project locations.
Produce and review advanced visualizations, drawings, and technical analyses to support communication with internal teams, donors, and stakeholders.
Coordinate with the technical unit and relevant teams to address technical issues and ensure alignment with approved designs.
Contribute to the assessment and application of appropriate, context-responsive, and sustainable shelter technologies and construction approaches.
Ensure the integration and application of safeguarding, safety, and risk mitigation measures in shelter designs and field implementation.
Represent BRAC in technical and field coordination forums related to shelter and site improvement, as delegated.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor in response to operational needs.
Safeguarding
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
