With the support of The Global Fund, BRAC Health Programme has been implementing TB Control Project for more than three decades in collaboration with National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP). BRAC works in a people-centered approach across rural and urban areas of the country with the aim to ensure prevention, early diagnosis and treatment adherence of tuberculosis through community engagement and Public-Private Mix (PPM) activities so that TB related healthcare services can be widely accessible and affordable to every individual.
Major Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly work-plan and regular visit to experienced consultants and healthcare professionals to strengthen referral linkage
Update public and private sector mapping including formal healthcare facilities/ providers (i.e., tertiary hospitals, medical college hospitals, private diagnostics and hospitals etc.) to enhance presumptive and case referral
Ensure TB presumptive referral from the private and public healthcare facilities/ providers through extensive field visit
Ensure systematic screening in healthcare facilities using the FAST strategy for identifying TB presumptive
Ensure registration of all confirmed TB patients referred from public and private sectors
Support strengthening and expanding of public-private mix (PPM) approach for TB care and control, in line with the national policy framework
Organize and conduct orientation/ meeting for healthcare professionals
Prepare monthly/ quarterly reports and submit in due time
Analyse performance data and provide necessary information to district level management for decision-making
Practice and promote organization’s gender policy and support implementation of gender equality and women empowerment at all levels
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
