Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.

Master’s degree in EEE / Energy Systems / Renewable Energy is preferable.

• Experience in solar energy systems, mini-grids and energy infrastructures.

• Hands-on experience in design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of energy infrastructures.  

• Experience in community-based energy projects is desirable.  

• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and energy efficiency practices.          

• Proven ability to analyze technical data, prepare detailed reports, and provide actionable recommendations.

• Proficiency in the Chittagonian language and English.

• Community engagement and empowermentCapability to develop and implement plans for strategic energy projects.

• Proficient in fostering productive collaborations with diverse stakeholders and teams.

• Proficient work experience in the implementation, monitoring, and operation of various electrical and solar projects.

Transforming Humanitarian Energy Access (THEA) project.

The proposed position of Project Manager is critical to fulfilling the operation and to expedite the implementation of the project, ensuring timely implementation, accountability, and achievement of the project’s intended outcomes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic planning of projects to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, humanitarian priorities and sustainability goals.

• Provide guidance to the field team in the execution, planning, and oversight of the project activities.

• Provide technical leadership on sustainable energy solutions, including renewable energy systems, energy efficiency, and innovation-driven approaches.

• Oversee day-to-day project implementation in line with approved workplans, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

• Coordinate field teams, contractors and partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery of project activities.

• Support adaptive management to respond to evolving field conditions and stakeholder needs.

• Monitor and control project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts to ensure cost-effective use of resources.

• Lead and coordinate installation, commissioning, and testing of solar e-cooking systems in both refugee camps and host communities.

• Carry out data collection from respondents using surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), observation, and key informant interviews (KII) through field visits

• Identify budget variances and initiate corrective actions in coordination with finance and procurement teams.

• Ensure compliance with donor financial regulations, organizational policies, and audit requirements.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, Mercy Corps, GPA, UNOPS and others.

• Facilitate collaboration across global partners, technology providers, research institutions and private-sector actors.

• Prepare and submit high-quality narrative, technical, and financial reports in line with donor and organizational requirements.

• Maintain accurate project documentation, records and compliance files for audits and reviews.
