Project Brief: In partnership with Educate A Child (EAC) under the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, BRAC is implementing a four-year project, "Inclusive Pathways for Learning and Resilience in Bangladesh," which is dedicated to reintegrating 76,000 out-of-school children across 12 districts in Bangladesh into the mainstream education system. By utilizing an accelerated primary learning model, the project prioritizes girls and children with disabilities in high-dropout, high-poverty, climate-vulnerable areas, addressing the root causes of exclusion through a holistic approach. This strategy integrates foundational education with essential health services, including nutrition, vision, and hygiene support, while empowering 15,000 youth to spearhead climate resilience actions. Together, these efforts create a community-driven ecosystem that ensures the next generation can recover their education and lead their communities toward a more sustainable and resilient future.

Job purpose:This position is responsible for field-level implementation and quality assurance of the EAC-funded education project. Additionally, this role ensures effective operation of BRAC schools, enrolment of out-of-school and dropout children, and supports their transition into the national education system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective operation of BRAC schools according to guidelines and standards at Union Level. Identify, enroll, and maintain records of out-of-school and dropout children implement school-opening plans, work plans, and programme activities on time.

  • Regularly visit schools and monitor classroom teaching and the continuous improvement of school quality. Ensure timely distribution and proper use of teaching-learning materials. Implement effective teaching methods, lesson plans, and assessment practices & Support.Teachers through coaching, mentoring, and capacity building. Implement programme guidelines, circulars, meeting decisions, and official communications.

  • Maintain strong coordination with parents, SMCs, teachers, government officials, NGOs and other stakeholders. Conduct parent and SMC meetings and promote community participation and sustainability

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

  • Ensure quality education.
