Education Qualifications:

Master’s degree in social science/ LLB/Development Studies, or a related subject.

Year of Experience: 3 years of proven experience in GBV prevention activities under UNHCR-funded programmes.

Mandatory Requirements: ·       

  • Candidate needs to have in-depth knowledge of how to facilitate MRM sessions, follow-up, monitoring, and documentation.        

  • Proficiency in English and Chattogram dialect. ·       

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the Rohingya language with refugees, including women, men, adolescents, and children.

Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the MRM Officer for implementing 'Education and Protection for Refugee Community (EPRC) Project' funded by UNHCR, located at Ukhiya & Teknaf Cox’s Bazar)

Position Title: MRM Officer

C. 1. Key areas of Performance/ Responsibility/ Accountability:

  • She/he will provide professional, confidential, and survivor-centered case management services to GBV survivors, in line with established guiding principles.

  • She/he will deliver case management services under the GBVIMS/Primero platform, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and updates.

  • She/he will ensure the confidentiality and the guiding principles of Case Management in line with SOPs, GBVMS, Inter-agency GBV Case Management Guideline, and other related guidelines.

  • She/he will ensure proper referrals are made and conduct regular follow-up to ensure quality service delivery and survivor support.

  • She/he will work with the PSS team to refer the GBV Survivors for Psychosocial Support and maintain coordination with WGSS, WELP, SASA, Men and Boys Engagement Programme.

  • She/he will maintain coordination with different stakeholders, including CIC, Legal, Health, MHPSS, CBP, and Site management for the referral pathway.

  • She/he will provide sufficient regular technical support to all Case Management Volunteers.

  • She/he will build and maintain accurate records while upholding data protection and confidentiality standards.

  • She/he will submit the required reports on Case Management to the respective Case Manager on time.

  • She/he will closely work with finance, procurement, logistics, HR, CP, and CBP unit to ensure a flawless work environment based on the need.

  • She/he will submit individual action plans with an accomplishment report to the respective Case Manager.

  • She/he will promote and uphold safeguarding policies and ensure safeguarding principles are integrated into all activities to protect staff, beneficiaries, and community members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.

  • Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures for any reportable incident and encourage others to do the same

Safeguarding & PSEA:

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)'s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
