Experience:
Diploma in Civil engineering from any UGC approved institute.
Minimum 1 year or more experiences in relevant sectors or fields.
Knowledge in global development scenario to identify funding trends, financial and grants management, donor agencies.
Knowledge in basic computer skills in MS Office applications.
Ability to handle budgeting, communication, writing, monitoring and evaluation, auditing, project management, project implementation.
Expertise in facilitating group meetings, managing timelines, oral and written fluency in both Bangla and English, handling critical issues with relevant stakeholders.

This position is responsible for planning, managing, implementing, supervising, and monitoring Shelter and Site Improvement activities of the BRAC Shelter Project under HCMP, including supportive supervision of the Field Assistant, Shelter, in his/her assigned working areas, spending 90% of the time in the field and 10% on official work. He/She will report to the Camp Focal-Shelter for the execution of his/her duties in collaboration with the respective Cluster Focal (technical support) and the Project Manager, Shelter & Site Improvement.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct Shelter and Site Improvement assessments through visits and interviews with individual households, community consultations along with Mahjis, using the prescribed format in collaboration with the Site Management Sector (SMS), CiC officials, and other stakeholders.
Ensure the distribution of coupons to the selected HHs for receiving shelter materials from the distribution centre/point.
Ensure requisition of the required materials for shelter and site improvement, as well as ensure the availability of material stock at the distribution centre/point.
Ensure the distribution of shelter materials and necessary accessories to the selected beneficiaries using the master roll and KoBo.
Ensure technical support and assistance to the beneficiaries to build their shelters by themselves while maintaining shelter performance standards (minimum and desired).
Prepare IOUs and make payments to labourers on time regularly.
Provide technical support and guidance to the Field Assistant-Shelter and beneficiaries for shelter building/construction, maintenance, and site improvement interventions.
Provide technical support and assistance in line with Shelter Sector and organizational standards, while considering the needs of women, children, adolescents, persons with disabilities, and EVI families.
Ensure the quantity and quality of Shelter and Site Improvement activities as per organizational and Shelter Sector standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain good and professional relationships with Procurement, Finance, Administration, and Logistics within the organization, and with Site Management, GoB officials, the community, and stakeholders outside the organization.
Prepare daily and weekly reports and submit them to the line manager on time, and assist the Camp Focal-Shelter in sharing reports with the Site Management Sector (SMS) and other relevant stakeholders as per their needs.
Prepare IOUs and submit them to the respective authority in collaboration with the Camp Focal-Shelter.
Prepare and ensure the muster roll and attendance of labourers, as well as make labour payments.
Prepare project material requisitions for the successful and timely implementation of project activities.
Supervise Field Assistants-Shelter, volunteers, guards, and community labourers.
Safeguarding
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
