An advanced degree (MBBS or MPH) or a BSc/MSc in Nutrition. Specialized knowledge or training in Tuberculosis (TB) is highly desirable.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience executing nutrition-focused programs within Bangladesh
A proven track record of overseeing and delivering large-scale, donor-backed nutrition projects specifically targeting women, newborns, and children.
Demonstrated experience engaging with national-level directorates, with a strong preference for backgrounds involving IPHN, BNNC, PHC, or similar governing bodies.
Comprehensive understanding of the nutrition service landscape in Bangladesh, encompassing both the public and private health sectors.
Preferred Qualifications
Robust analytical and conceptual abilities to drive strategic planning and problem-solving
Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively lead, mentor, and coach technical teams.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla are strongly preferred.

Jhpiego seeks a qualified candidate for the Project Specialist position for its TIFA project. Under the supervision of the Project Team Lead, this position will provide technical oversight for integrating nutrition support for children and adolescents with Tuberculosis. S/he will be responsible for TB-Nutrition integration activities of the project with deep nutrition expertise and experience working at National, District and Sub district level government, non-government and other stakeholders.
S/he will work closely with members of the Jhpiego team, consortium lead, other consortium partners, Bangladesh Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MBDC, NTP, IPHN, BNNC, etc.) and other TB and Nutrition counterparts in project-supported districts to integrate TB-Nutrition activities. In collaboration with the Project Coordinator, s/he will provide technical oversight of project-supported services especially developing key nutrition indicators for the TB recording and reporting system in consultation with the NTP, MBDC, and BNNC to establish key nutrition indicators for the TB recording and reporting system.

Responsibilities
Stakeholder Coordination & Alignment
Liaise and collaborate with the MBDC and BNNC to secure necessary project support and alignment.
Foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships with government and non-government partners at both the district and upazila levels.
Execute daily technical and operational project tasks under the guidance of the Team Lead.
Technical Strategy & Implementation
Partner with the consultant and Project Lead to develop comprehensive facility readiness tools for nutritional assessments.
Assist the Team Lead in the conceptualization and design of core project initiatives.
Supervise and ensure the effectiveness of nutritional screenings, counseling, follow-ups, and referrals at DOTS centers within the intervention zones.
Monitor and oversee routine TB screenings conducted at IMCI & NC units.
Collaborate with project leadership to formulate a transition and handover roadmap for MBDC and BNNC, ensuring the sustainable scale-up of the TB-nutrition integration model.
Supervision & Quality Assurance
Facilitate the integration of key nutritional indicators into standard TB supervision checklists.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor project execution and evaluate progress on the ground.
Ensure high-quality standards are consistently met during all nutritional screenings.
Participate in scheduled weekly and monthly review meetings to provide comprehensive status updates.
Organize and conduct joint supportive supervision visits alongside relevant government stakeholders.
Data Tracking, Monitoring & Reporting
Collaborate closely with the Project Coordinator to ensure operational alignment.
Rigorously track the project work plan to ensure all deliverables and activities remain on schedule.
Monitor the progress of ongoing initiatives and proactively communicate any potential delays or challenges to the Team Lead.
Mentoring & Capacity Building
Provide targeted, hands-on mentoring to Project Mentor Officers regarding nutritional assessment protocols.
Deliver on-the-job coaching and guidance to government healthcare service providers during field visits.
Knowledge Management & Documentation
Capture, document, and share project successes, best practices, and key lessons learned.
Assist the Team Lead in compiling data and drafting comprehensive, accurate donor reports.
Administration & Logistics Support
Partner with the procurement department to ensure the timely and compliant acquisition of all necessary nutritional assessment tools.
Work closely with the technical, program, finance, and other teams at Jhpiego so that implementation runs smoothly
