  • Basic knowledge of community mobilisation, field programme implementation, and participant follow-up.
  • Practical understanding of agriculture, crop production, livestock/fisheries, climate-smart practices, and livelihood enhancement.
  • Understanding of climate risks, disaster response, WASH, and basic adaptation measures relevant to field operations.
  • Good knowledge of training facilitation, service-provider coordination, market/value-chain concepts, and inclusive community engagement.
  • Familiar with MIS reporting, documentation, case studies, and routine field data management.

The Programme Organiser, IDP is responsible for supporting the implementation of Integrated Development Programme (IDP) interventions at the community level by mobilising and organising marginalised communities through Village Development Organisations (VDOs), Village Organisations (VOs), and Development Support Groups (DSGs). The role contributes to empowering disadvantaged populations, promoting access to essential services, strengthening community awareness on key social issues, and fostering inclusive, resilient, and self-reliant communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobilise poor and ultra-poor households through Village Development Organisations (VDOs), facilitate regular meetings, raise awareness on rights, and support community problem-solving.

  • Organise and facilitate field-level training, workshops, day observations, and community events in alignment with programme objectives.

  • Ensure quality maternal health services by monitoring activities of SKs and SSs, supporting birth planning, postnatal care (PNC), and incentive processing.

  • Establish and operate BPS/BPPS schools following BRAC Education Programme standards.

  • Identify ultra-poor households, support quality training, asset or soft loan transfers, and conduct regular home visits to assist in future planning.

  • Facilitate Legal Aid services and community engagement through Popular Theatre and CD shows as per programme design.

  • Promote agricultural activities, introduce improved technologies, and create alternative livelihood options including crop diversification and vaccination camps.

  • Supervise and support local service providers (PLEWs, agriculture/fishery extension workers, AI technicians) to ensure effective delivery.

  • Enhance community awareness on climate adaptation, provide support during natural disasters, and promote improved sanitation and WASH practices.

  • Prepare and submit monthly MIS reports, case studies, learnings, and challenges to the Area Manager on time.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
