The Field Facilitator is responsible for supporting the implementation of project activities at the district and upazila levels by strengthening the capacity of DOTS service providers, government health workers, and community-based service providers to integrate nutrition interventions within existing TB service delivery platforms. The position works closely with Government of Bangladesh health systems, implementing partners, and community stakeholders to improve nutrition assessment, counseling, referral, follow-up, documentation, and quality of care for children and adolescents.
The incumbent provides technical support, facilitates coordination among key stakeholders, monitors project performance, strengthens service quality, and contributes to effective implementation, documentation, and continuous improvement of project activities within the assigned geographical area.

Responsibilities
Technical Support and Capacity Building
Mentor and provide on-site technical support to government TB service providers, Nutrition Corner focal persons, community health workers, volunteers, and other relevant service providers to strengthen nutrition assessment, counseling, referral, follow-up, and quality improvement within the Government of Bangladesh health system.
Strengthen the capacity of DOTS service providers to identify malnourished children and adolescents, provide appropriate nutrition counseling, and facilitate timely referrals for further care and support.
Support service providers in maintaining accurate nutrition assessment records, reporting systems, and related documentation.
Referral and Community Linkages
Facilitate effective referral and follow-up mechanisms by linking malnourished children with community health workers, community nutrition volunteers, multipurpose volunteers, and other appropriate community-based support services for household-level counseling and follow-up.
Coordinate referrals of severely malnourished children to available government social protection and safety net programmes, including Union Parishad, Upazila administration, and the Department of Social Welfare, where appropriate.
Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain effective coordination and working relationships with the Civil Surgeon, Superintendent, UH&FPO, Consultant (CDH), TB implementing partners, NGOs, and other relevant government and development partners to support successful project implementation.
Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, training sessions, and outreach activities involving government counterparts, project stakeholders, and community representatives.
Monitoring, Supervision and Quality Improvement
Conduct regular monitoring and supportive supervision visits to DOTS centres and other project sites to assess implementation progress, identify gaps, provide feedback, and support continuous quality improvement.
Monitor facility performance and establish effective feedback mechanisms to strengthen service quality.
Track project targets and achievements within the assigned area and recommend or implement corrective actions where performance gaps are identified.
Support and coordinate monitoring visits by Government of Bangladesh officials, donors, and other authorized stakeholders.
Logistics and Project Support
Assess existing logistics and equipment needs related to nutrition assessment and reporting and support the procurement and distribution of required supplies in accordance with project procedures.
Reporting and Documentation
Prepare timely reports for the immediate supervisor on project implementation, achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, monitoring findings, TB and nutrition service data, and success stories in accordance with project reporting requirements.
Compliance
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program's goals of safeguarding implementation. She/He will be a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment.
Safeguarding/ PSEA
Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. She will follow the safeguarding reporting procedure if any reportable incident occurs, encouraging others to do so.
