Education:

Masters in any discipline of social science (i.e. sociology, anthropology, social work, Economics, social welfare, political science etc.)

Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of work experience in social development activities or any other relevant field of NGO/INGO.

  • At least 5 years of experience in WASH-related projects, tribal peoples’ development, or social safeguards.

  • In-depth knowledge of humanitarian programming in refugee/displacement settings, especially Rohingya response and host community dynamics.

  • Knowledge of community mobilization and participatory assessment methods.

  • Understanding of WASH programming and awareness initiatives.

  • Strong coordination and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to engage with government institutions and local stakeholders.

  • Good training and facilitation skills.

  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.

  • Effective communication skills in Bengali and English.

  • Ability to manage field-level operations and stakeholder engagement.



Responsibilities & Context:

Purpose: Support the Team Leader in coordinating project implementation, particularly in Noakhali district, ensuring timely execution of social mobilization and WASH awareness activities. Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, government agencies, and community groups.

Job Description:

  • Assist the Team Leader in delivering all project outputs within agreed timelines.

  • Support preparation and implementation of project work plans.

  • Assist in development and delivery of training modules for stakeholders.

  • Support awareness creation activities related to WASH issues.

  • Coordinate project activities with DPHE, LGIs, and community stakeholders, particularly in Noakhali.

  • Maintain coordination with DPD and project management units.

  • Liaise with Upazila, district, and central-level government officials.

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and community engagement activities.

  • Prepare and submit monthly and periodic project reports.

  • Provide operational and coordination support to the Team Leader.

  • Assist in execution of additional project tasks required for successful implementation.

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation, and team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a critical source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident occurs and encourage others to do so.
