Master degree in any discipline preferably in Social Science, Development Studies, International Relation, Public Administration or any similar background.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in advocacy, documentation, and capacity building.
Experience in DRR or CCA-related programmes is highly desirable.
Experience working in coastal or climate-vulnerable contexts will be an advantage.
Demonstrated experience engaging multi-stakeholder platforms and policy processes.
Understanding of national and international DRR and CCA frameworks (e.g., Sendai Framework, national DRM policies).
Knowledge of policy advocacy processes at local and national levels.
Strong analytical and writing skills in Bangla and English.
Ability to produce high-quality communication materials.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
Understanding of monitoring frameworks and results tracking.

Advocacy & Policy Engagement:
Develop and implement project advocacy strategies and action plans.
Identify short- and long-term policy influence opportunities related to disability-inclusive DRR and CCA.
Engage with government institutions, NGOs, private sector actors, networks, and donors.
Support field-level advocacy and coordination with local government bodies.
Facilitate joint advocacy initiatives with partner organizations and networks.
Capacity Building:
Design and conduct training sessions for field staff, SHGs, and stakeholders.
Develop training materials and facilitation guides.
Provide technical support on advocacy, documentation, and inclusive approaches.
Strengthen field teams’ capacity in analyzing and using data for decision-making.
Documentation & Knowledge Management:
Develop case studies, human-interest stories, and evidence-based reports.
Document project learning, best practices, and innovations.
Support proposal and concept note development.
Maintain databases of trainings, campaigns, events, and advocacy initiatives.
Prepare monthly and periodic reports for the Project Manager.
Gender & Inclusion Focus:
Ensure disability and gender perspectives are integrated into advocacy messaging.
Prepare case studies highlighting social, economic, and political empowerment of women with disabilities.
Promote meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in local governance processes.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:

The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities to be more inclusive whilst enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its former Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
CDD is currently looking for a Advocacy, Capacity Building and Documentation Officer for the project title ‘Promoting regional approaches to inclusive and gender-responsive disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in South and Southeast Asia’, supported by the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) and funded by the German Cooperation (BMZ). The duration of the project is till 31st August 2027.
The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
