Project Management and Leadership
Provide leadership and operational guidance to the field team to ensure high-quality implementation of all project components (Child Protection, Education, Health).
Manage and supervise field supervisors and project staff, ensuring their work plans are executed on time and in alignment with project goals.
Oversee the day-to-day project activities, including community mobilization, school-based interventions, and advocacy campaigns.
Manage project logistics, field budgets, and resources to ensure efficient delivery of services in remote char locations.
Coordination and Advocacy
Serve as the primary liaison between the field office and the Head Office, ensuring timely reporting on progress, challenges, and risks.
Facilitate coordination meetings with local government authorities (e.g., Union Parishad, Upazila Administration), School Management Committees (SMCs), and other stakeholders to strengthen referral systems and advocacy efforts.
Support the engagement of duty bearers—such as religious leaders, health workers, and police—to create a safer, child-friendly environment in the chars.
Monitoring and Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to donor (KNH) requirements, project standards, and organizational policies.
Implement participatory monitoring mechanisms to track the effectiveness of interventions and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Oversee the collection of data, case studies, and activity reports for project-level reporting and accountability.
Ensure child safeguarding protocols are implemented across all field activities, providing necessary training and orientation to staff and volunteers.
Skill and Competencies:
Educational Requirements:
Master’s degree in Urban & Rural Planning, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in project management, specifically in child rights, protection, or rural development, ideally in climate-vulnerable or hard-to-reach areas like the char regions of Bangladesh.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of child rights, protection, and advocacy strategies.
Experience in climate-resilient development and disaster risk reduction (DRR) planning.
Proven ability to manage budgets, project compliance, and reporting.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills in English and Bangla.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, resource-constrained environments.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data management tools for reporting.
