Responsibilities & Context:

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

This role will be responsible for implementing context-sensitive strategies at the camp level. The position will also provide leadership in project planning, staff management, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, and coordination to ensure quality and timely implementation of project activities, in line with donor requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and propose timely solutions to ensure effective delivery

  • Develop and implement annual and quarterly work plans aligned with project goals, donor requirements, and KPIs (e.g., number of trainings conducted, women engaged in IGAs, achievement of product sales targets, and quality technical support interventions)

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of field staff and volunteers to ensure quality project implementation

  • Provide regular guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment

  • Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to track project progress and impact

  • Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement

  • Prepare regular progress reports and other relevant documentation

  • Ensure logistic support for smooth implementation

  • Conduct training and workshops for Rohingya women on various topics such as leadership, financial literacy, business management, and gender-based violence prevention

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and peer learning among project participants

  • Establish and maintain a strong coordination channel with the MEAL, Communications, and Finance & Accounts, procurement, vendors of the programmes

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
