This position will support the overall planning, implementation, monitoring, and supervision of the caregiver engagement programme. S/he ensures the quality, efficiency, and impact of program activities targeting young children in crisis affected areas through safe, playful and nurturing environments. The role enquires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills with and understanding of early childhood development. This position will also be responsible for designing, planning, conducting and coordinating the required training regarding mental health and wellbeing.
Ensure the planned activities align with caregiver engagement and ECD best practices and organizational standards
Oversee day-to-day operations of caregiver engagement programme in coordination with field teams
Monitor the quality and effectiveness of mother and father sessions, psychosocial support activities.
Ensure the capacity development plan timely
Facilitate regular meetings to assist information sharing between project staff, to ensure all staff members are aware of project objectives and current work plans and to provide the opportunity for feedback
Collaborate with the project team to design and integrate mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) into play-based learning
Assist in developing training materials and organize training and workshops for staff, caregivers on curriculum, child psychology, trauma, resilience etc.
Design training schedule, module and budget with input from concerned persons.
Strong understanding of child psychology, developmental milestones, and trauma.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Support the Project Manager in developing detailed implementation plans and ensuring timely delivery of project activities
Monitor indicators and targets for staff and collect monthly data and share it with donor public health unit.
Efficient and proper management of resources including financial, human and project assets
Ensure effective contribution in Budget Management and tracking, monitoring programme budget as per Plan.
Ensure strong coordination and collaboration with MHPSS and community health activities.
Fluency in [Insert Language(s)] (e.g., English and/or local language).
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
