Gender Officer (gender mainstreaming) will lead the gender mainstreaming aspect of the project at all levels of implementation and execution, work closely with other Project Managers, and Deputy Project Managers of the project to ensure that the gender, diversity and disability inclusion are mainstreamed across the project at every level including the logistics and facilities to make it inclusive participatory and safe.
Coordinate designing and implementation of project plan for Gender mainstreaming in the FDMN communities under skill development project.
Analyze implementation progress of the Gender integration interventions and ensure technical and strategic input for effective field operation.
Conduct Gender GAP Analysis in Cox’s Bazar within the scope of all Project in the work area.
Conduct surveys to identify and understand the skills needs of differently-abled people in camps, develop and adapt with the gender & disability marker
Provide technical advice, direction and support to the Project Managers in ensuring gender mainstreaming, in all aspect of project implementation in Cox’s Bazar
Coach, train, mentor staff and organize trainings to elevate their knowledge and understanding on the issue of gender, diversity and disability inclusion.
Ensure budget analysis, budget projection, cost efficiency and effective fund management that is relevant and within the jurisdiction of this position.
Overall monitoring of the entire project through gender-diversity and disability inclusion lens on daily basis, provide suggestions and feedback on where and how to improve; also take initiative for improvement in Cox’s Bazar.
Work in collaboration with BRAC’s ‘Gender Justice and Diversity’ programme for knowledge sharing and technical assistance.
Represent BRAC in any relevant thematic meetings with stakeholders and otherwise as needed;
Any other responsibilities related to gender mainstreaming and diversity inclusion assigned by supervisor and senior management
Safeguarding
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
