Responsibilities & Context:

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

The Field Facilitator will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the early childhood development project at the camp. He/she will supervise and monitor father and mother volunteers, Para counsellors, monitor daily activities, and assist organizing sessions through play-based activities. The role involves direct interaction with children, caregivers, mother volunteers, father volunteers, and community stakeholders to promote inclusive, safe and playful learning for children affected by emergencies. This role will also be responsible for record keeping and reporting. This position will also conduct daily supervisory visits of session locations to evaluate adherence to minimum standards for operation.

  • Engage community leaders, parents, caregivers and other stakeholders to build awareness in the caregiver engagement model.

  • Supervise and monitor father-mother volunteer (Caregiver volunteer) and para-counselor.

  • Mobilize and enroll eligible children into the caregiver engagement activities

  • Assist Para counselor, Father & Mother Volunteers in organizing sessions through play-based activities

  • Ensure record keeping and reporting timely.

  • Ensure play materials, tools, and low and no cost materials are available and properly used

  • Monitor caregiver and children’s attendance, active participation and wellbeing on a daily basis

  • Participate in various training sessions related to early childhood development, psychosocial support and play-based learning

  • Uphold child safeguarding and protection policies in all activities

  • Identify and refer at risk children or protection cases to the appropriate services to Para counsellors, Psychologist or focal points

  • Promote a safe, non-discriminatory and nurturing for all children, regardless of background or ability

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
