Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Create an operational plan for the effective implementation of an employment strategy that is aligned with the strategy or annual plans of the BRAC Skills Development Programme.
∎ Conduct research and analysis on sectoral formal job markets, emerging trends, and demand to conclusively identify and prioritize specific job market sectors for placing graduates of the BRAC Institute of Skills Development (BISD) and clients of Career Hub (CH) in suitable employment opportunities.
∎ Develop persuasive business proposals and compelling capacity pitches for the prioritized potential industries/ sectors/ private/ corporate companies.
∎ Establish partnerships with the private sector companies for guaranteed job placements of graduated learners of BISDs and clients of CH and raise the profile and image of BISD and CH within the private sector and employers.
∎ Develop comprehensive periodic plans including quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly plans according to the planned graduation schedule of various skills courses.
∎ Conduct action-oriented market/industry research to remain current on sector-specific skill sets and competencies. Offer insights to SDP technical leads for customizing and upgrading training modules, pedagogy, and curricula based on the findings.
∎ Collaborate and coordinate with the programme operations team, particularly, the BISD and CH operations teams, to ensure a harmonious working environment and a synced implementation of both skills and employability training and employment services.
∎ Implement measures to enhance and optimize the capacity of the field employment team. Continuously assess and refine training programs and workflow processes to ensure the team is well-prepared to meet evolving demands and challenges across different regions and job sectors.
∎ Work in collaboration with project leads and program support teams within SDP to attain diverse objectives, including securing funding opportunities, meeting project targets, ensuring compliance and quality assurance in employment service delivery, and optimizing resource utilization.Top of Form

∎ JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join us as the Programme Manager, Employment of our Skills Development Programme. In this role, you will be developing and implementing an employment strategy as well as establishing partnerships with industry leaders and reputable companies/employers. Your major target will be to ensure employment opportunities for the graduates of the BRAC Institute of Skills Development (BISD) and Career Hub (CH) across Bangladesh.
∎ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
