∎ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience managing operational components on large, complex donor-funded projects (with a strong preference for past USAID-funded project management experience)

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead and guide the project team to ensure that project activities are executed in a coordinated and efficient manner in consultation with the Chief of Party.
∎ Maintain accurate records of compliance-related activities and prepare regular reports for management. Ensure that all compliance documentation is readily accessible for audits and reviews.
∎ Promote a clear understanding of compliance responsibilities and expectations amongst team members.
∎ In consultation with the Chief of Party, troubleshoot issues, including but not limited to award, financial, personnel, and compliance matters.
∎ Implementation of different project interventions in the project area based on local suitability and evaluation of the intervention in contrast of climate-smart agricultural point of view and farmer return.
∎ Responsible for analyzing the local climatic and agricultural information required by the project to identify the local climate change challenges.
∎ Responsible for climatic impact assessment and climate risk analysis on agriculture and framing.
∎ Ensure close communication with local government and administration and support activity planning on the related authorities.
∎ Ensure active participation in local-level planning and execution.
∎ Responsible to Documentation, Article writing and communication tools development.
∎ Responsible for preparing monthly, periodic, and need-based reports.
∎ Work closely and collaboratively with internal and external colleagues and partners to discuss operational and implementation issues, provide solutions, and recommendations and develop demand-focused climate-smart agricultural

∎ UDDOM project aims to empower climate-vulnerable communities in Bagerhat, Sunamganj, and Jamalpur districts of Bangladesh to cope with and mitigate the impacts of climate change-induced disasters. By focusing on strengthening local government institutions and providing access to financial resources, crop insurance, and climate-smart agricultural practices, the project seeks to enhance the resilience of both communities and local governance structures. Through initiatives such as “Adaptation Clinics” for climate-smart agriculture, the provision of financial services, and the construction of climate-resilient infrastructure including water facilities and housing, UDDOM integrates proven adaptive solutions with locally developed strategies. Additionally, the project endeavors to improve early warning systems and facilitate early action to better prepare communities for future climate-induced disasters. Over a span of 60 months, UDDOM aims to foster sustainable development and resilience in the face of increasingly frequent and severe climate-related challenges.
∎ JOB PURPOSE
∎ BRAC is seeking qualified Project Coordinator candidates for the USAID funded “Community-led Climate Smart Innovations to Address Climate Change Impacts (UDDOM)” project awarded on March 2024 and expected to run for 5 years.
∎ The Project Coordinator will coordinate the field implementation of the USAID funded “Community-led Climate Smart Innovations to Address Climate Change Impacts (UDDOM)” project in coordination with the Head Office management, partners and other stakeholders. S/he will be responsible for ensuring the operational effectiveness and compliant implementation of activities. S/he will provide a broad range of project management, operations, and technical support to the project.
∎ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of Project Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
