Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitor and support the use of grants management tools and the Grants Management System to ensure accurate tracking and grants reporting.
∎ Lead grant coordination with sub-recipients, including monthly reviews, budget management, and closeout meetings in collaboration with stakeholders.
∎ Ensure compliance with donor regulations by providing relevant training to programs, operations, MEL, and other cross-cutting teams.
∎ Support the COP to raise compliance issues proactively with programme leadership.
∎ Keep the COP and programme leadership informed of any anticipated challenges in meeting grants targets, including any issues with report submission and budget variances.
∎ Serve as an internal resource on USAID and USG rules and regulations.
∎ Work as a problem solver with the technical team to learn, adapt and improve throughout the grant design and solicitation process.
∎ Review and ensure alignment of grants procedures with BRAC’s guidelines and policies and compliance with USAID requirements.
∎ Support the COP with special projects as necessary.
∎ Ensure that all grant activities are properly documented from the start of implementation to grant close-down.

∎ UDDOM project aims to empower climate-vulnerable communities in Bagerhat, Sunamganj, and Jamalpur districts of Bangladesh to cope with and mitigate the impacts of climate change-induced disasters. By focusing on strengthening local government institutions and providing access to financial resources, crop insurance, and climate-smart agricultural practices, the project seeks to enhance the resilience of both communities and local governance structures. Through initiatives such as “Adaptation Clinics” for climate-smart agriculture, the provision of financial services, and the construction of climate-resilient infrastructure including water facilities and housing, UDDOM integrates proven adaptive solutions with locally developed strategies. Additionally, the project endeavors to improve early warning systems and facilitate early action to better prepare communities for future climate-induced disasters. Over a span of 60 months, UDDOM aims to foster sustainable development and resilience in the face of increasingly frequent and severe climate-related challenges.
∎ JOB PURPOSE
∎ BRAC is seeking qualified Senior Specialist, Grants Management and Donor Reporting. Candidates for the USAID funded “Community-led Climate Smart Innovations to Address Climate Change Impacts (UDDOM)” project awarded on March 2024 and expected to run for 5 years.
∎ The Senior Specialist, Grants Management and Donor Reporting will work closely with the Chief of Party (COP), ensuring the achievement of targets. This pivotal role involves spearheading efforts to guarantee award compliance, overseeing adherence to grant management policies, and ensuring alignment with USAID and BRAC rules and regulations. The incumbent will play a vital role in shaping the project’s success through oversight of subgrants to partner organisations.
∎ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of Project Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
