Responsibilities & Context:
*** Job Responsibilities:
Planning and mapping of all procurement activities in line with CDD’s Procurement Policy.
Ensuring timely delivery of goods and items as required by the Project Operations.
Enduring donor principles with regards to Procurement specific compliance is met at all times.
Ensuring necessary documentation based on CDD Good Practices & Donor advice.
Ensuring that the Procurement Tracker is updated at all times.
Reporting of any Flag flags to Line Manager immediately as it becomes visible.
Maintaining a Cordial and Cooperative relationship with the vendors and suppliers.
Ensuring Vendor Performance Appraisals (4 such exercises per quarter)
Being vigilant in upholding all CDD policies including Code of Conduct, HR Policy, Anti-Fraud Policy, Anti-Corruption Policy, Anti-Bribery Policy and Whistle Blowing Policy.
Ensuring Framework Agreement and Supporting Vendor Enlistment Efforts.
Ensuring all procurement related contracts with due diligence.
Ensuring necessary document transfer to Finance & Accounts Team for timely payment disbursement to vendors.
Ensuring fleets are managed in an efficient way and keeping relevant records.
Preparing and submitting Quarterly Goods & Property Report, Stock Report, Asset Report in coordination with the Project Supervisor & Project Operations Manager.
Maintaining healthy coordination with other Procurement team members of CDD to promote mutual learning and troubleshooting.
Monitoring the security situation in the camps in coordination with the Team Managers and then immediately report to project operations manager.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by any competent authority.

The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities to be more inclusive whilst enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
CDD is a prominent organization in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD’s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its former Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
CDD is now accepting application for the position of ‘Procurement and Logistics’ for a project of CDD. The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
