Now, we are seeking a dynamic & energetic person to join us as “Welfare Officer”.

The candidate has to perform following responsibilities:

• Establish contacts and hold consultations with a view to maintaining harmonious relations between the management of the factory and workers;
• Handle worker grievance and understand the point of view of the workers and to help the management and the workers to resolve their differences in a spirit of understanding and cooperation;
• Look after industrial relations with a view to using his influence in the event of a dispute arising between the management of the factory and workers and to help to bring about a settlement through mutual discussion and joint consultation;
• Deal with wages and employment matters by joint consultation with the management of the factory and the worker's representative body;
• Promote healthy labor-management practices;
• Coordinate with the medical officer of the factory for better services and treatment of the workers;
• Encourage the formation of works committees and joint production committees, co-operative societies and welfare committees and to supervise their workings;
• Look after the provision of amenities, such as canteen, shelters for rest, creche, adequate latrine facilities, drinking water, supply of food stuffs, establishment of cooperative stores and fair price shops, social and recreational facilities, sanitation and advice on personnel problems and education of children;
• Assist factory management in regulating the grant of leave with wages and explain to the workers the provisions relating to leave with wages and leave privileges, and to guide the workers in the matters of submission of application for grant of leave and for regulating authorized absence;
• Provide necessary assistance and advice to the management and workers to implement the provisions of law and the institute.
